Conference: "Darwin and Owen at Notre Dame" - museum open house, films, dialogue, a DVT performance, and refreshments - Jordan Hall of Science, 6 PM.

FEBRUARY 23-28, 2010
Theatre: Eric Coble’s Natural Selection - a comedic and curious examination of a semi-logical extension of evolutionary theory. Directed by Tim Hardy.

Reception: Marking the opening of Darwin at Notre Dame - 5:30 p.m. at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center.  Jon Vickers will speak to the connections between "Inherit the Wind" and "The Great Tennessee Monkey Trial."
Film: "Inherit the Wind" - a 1960 film directed by Stanley Kramer.

FEBRUARY 6-8
Drama: The Great Tennessee Monkey Trial - presented by L.A. Theatre Works. Based on transcripts of the 1925 Tennessee v. Scopes trial.

FEBRUARY 11
Film: "Origins of Life" - 7:30 & 8:30 PM, Digital Visualization Theater, Jordan Hall of Science. A full dome animation connecting the astronomical creation of the elements of life to the formation and evolution of life on Earth. (see film info)

FEBRUARY 23-26
Conference: Darwin and Theatre: Migration, and Evolution - International Playwrights' Conference.

FEBRUARY 24 - MARCH 1
Drama: Guernica (American premiere) - written by Yiannis Lymtsioulis and inspired by a 1997 tragedy where a ship carrying refugees sank suspiciously.
